From today, July 10th through July 14th, you can download for free Sandbox to Sandbox by Paula Coffer.  Paula transitioned after she retired from the US Army as a Major, turning down a promotion to Lieutenant Colonel and a Battalion command.  The title of the book refers to her returning to Afghanistan as a female consultant after her transition.  Dee and I had dinner with Paula when she was traveling through Atlanta and she is a fascinating person.  We were both sad when the evening ended and Paula had to leave.  I downloaded the book last night to read so I can't actually post a review but, having talked with Paula, I'm sure it's going to be well worth it.

Very interesting story, but I'm afraid she badly needs an editor...  (To be fair, a lot of people writing memoirs do, or they even use a ghostwriter.)
