I figured I would start a log here for my benefit but also the benefit of others beginning transition. It will also help me juggle the enormous amount of stuff involved in transitioning.
I begun my transition July of 2014 when I had my first therapy appointment with a lovely lady with some experience with the trans community. I also began electrolysis (the old fashioned kind since my hair and skin weren't the right type for laser) the same month.
After a month and a half of weekly visits and phone visits I asked my therapist about going on hormones and she agreed that I was ready for them. I found a PCP that I was told had experience with the trans community and made an appt. with her. She has since become my PCP and not just my provider for HRT.
I knew I loved her when she saw the reason for my visit which I had put down as hormone replacement therapy. She looked up and said, "going female to male, I see."

I told her she was my new favourite person. I was actually her first MtF client so she set about learning the Standards of Care for me with a vengeance and has been very, very competent in my transition. I started hormones 31 August, 2014 and added progesterone the following month. I started coming out to family and friends soon after, a process continuing today.
Where I'm at right now: with tremendous thanks to my father who refinanced the house and is giving me the money for my transition fund I'm able to plan moving forward. The loan is supposed to close and the money in the bank on 5 July. I've already spoken to Haben's office about VFS and tracheal shave so all that remains is to call and plan the date once the money is there. After that I'll go FT, get my birth certificate and name change and begin my RLT. Six months after the VFS I'll travel to Argentina and have FFS with Dr. Rossi. I've already spoken to Amanda a few times and sent them the requested pics so I'm waiting on the estimate from their office. Sometime in between VFS and SRS I'll get on Brassard's waiting list (I've already contacted them). I figure my one year will be up by the time Brassard has an opening so I'll go in for the GCS.
I'll keep updating this every step of the way and will happily answer any questions anyone has. I'm thinking about starting a video diary on YouTube so I'll post the link here if I do.
