Met a GQ person... what does that make my orientation?

I'm not sure where to put this topic on the board, so I apologize if it's in the wrong place.

So I'm MtF, Feminine, Androgynous, and Gender Fluid. I identify as a Lesbian... well, at least I have up until this point.

Awhile back, I met a person who was some sort of Gender Queer. At the time they didn't specify their identity and didn't correct anyone when people referred to them as 'she.' Today we got to talking, and they said they prefer he/they as a pronoun.

Obviously they is not a she, but I'm still attracted to them. Lesbian doesn't encompass FtGQ, so I thought maybe I'm Pansexual. But I'm not attracted to cis males, ultra-masculine FtMs (like Buck Angel) or MtGQ. So pansexual doesn't describe me either.

What is the best way to describe my orientation?

First up, the lesbian label can encompass anything you want it to.  I know lesbians who are willing to date nonbinary folk.  I know lesbians who occasionally shag dudes.  I know nonbinary folk who identify as lesbians, both MtN and FtN.

Don't worry about dudes like Buck Angel.  You don't have to be attracted to every single person in a category, to identify as being attracted to people in that category.  You aren't attracted to every single woman in the world, are you?

Personally, I identify as queer.  I like people of all genders (not all people of all genders!) and I don't label my gender.

If the clinical-sounding name doesn't bother you, it sounds like you might be a gynophile.  But, I guess, if you're willing to date pre-op MtF transgender folk, or if transmen are out, that label doesn't fit 100%, either.

Lesson of the day: labels don't fit.  Label yourself as much or as little as you want to, and shame on anybody who says that you're wrong.

That is why I chose Queer for my label. I dated men before dating women, but I don't really feel bisexual, because I have no desire for males now. My partner, who previously identified as lesbian has revealed they are transmasculine NB that is pansexual, so......

I still decided I will remain Queer Femme. Even if they continue along that path and become fully male, this will in no way impact what I am orientation wise. Queer pretty much covers it all, but does not peg me into just one narrow identifier.
Do one good thing every day.
