Hi Tristyn,

It depends where you live. There are LGBT support groups in most major cities.  Here in the Washington, DC area there is MAGIC (Metro Area Gender Identity Connection) and other support networks.  I am not sure what is available on the Moon (as that is purportedly where you live), but a little sleuthing should turn up something.

With kindness,

Terri

I live in florida too so I understand. The nearest lgbt center is in orlando and that's an hour away from me.

The only option I can think of is too create a Tumblr account and follow other transgender people's blogs. Or simply do a general search of ftm usa forums.

Hi, when I was first looking before i came out I used facebook. People do quite happily list themselves as trans on there. Once you have friended one you can look at their friends list etc. I made quite a few friends this way. In fact I even announced my coming out on facebook as it was the quickest way to reach friends and family at the same time x

Tumblr and Facebook both have great trans communities. Facebook in particular has a great Groups function so you can meet others with really specific interests within the community. There are a lot of different surgical support groups there, groups for FTMs in general, ones that are just for socializing, etc.

the Facebook groups are also usually secret, so if you're not out/ stealth no one will know that you're part of them

there's also ->-bleeped-<- but i don't know how great it is from the point of view of socialising
