Ok so Im getting to the point where I want to start some work into transition, but I want to start putting some ground work in before hormones. Ive been trying different hair removal methods like lasers and electroysis, but my hair is very stubborn and wont go. Are there other methods I can look at, because my dark, thick body hair still grows back completely after a course of treatment.

What about white hairs? I have a blonde/white stubble on my chin that I want gone as well

Hi Jay,

I found that my body hair (chest, abdomen, armpits) was significantly decreased after a few months on HRT. Although I did not have thick body hair, I would shave my arms, abdomen and chest routinely.  I no longer do that at all, and I still have very little body hair.  I had a couple of small patches of hair on my back below my shoulder blades that I couldn't reach, and they disappeared completely, thank goodness.

HRT does not have much effect on facial hair, unfortunately.

Yes.  I had the same experience.  My body hair was somewhat sparse to start with but now is virtually nonexistent.  What is left is very light and grows very slowly.  Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for my face.

HRT won't do much for the beard although it will help, in time, with body hair. If you're looking into electrolysis for beard removal then consider galvanic electrolysis. Yes, it is painful, expensive and time consuming but it is permanent.
