First E patch Dec. 13 (3 weeks of spiro before that)

Blood work done on Feb 18 2016
Oestradiol    376 pmol/L
Total Testo   2.5 nmol/L
Prolactine     3.7 ug/L
LH               1.7 UI/L

Blood work done on May 19 2016
Oestradiol    <73.0 pmol/L  :o ???
Total Testo   2.24   nmol/L
Prolactine     5.8     ug/L
LH               3.0     UI/L
FSH              1.8    UI/L

Ok, I doubled my E dosage on March 3 (which is still in the low end) and Added MPA (medroxyprogesterone) on Apr. 24. I wouldn't have guessed my Estrogen was so low, my breasts development went very well since I added MPA, the rest... my skin is still kind of dry, my hair still feels like the new hair I got with HRT, my face...

Is it possible that the lab wrote <73.0 pmol/L when that would be actually 730 pmol/L ?

I sent an email to my doctor. I'm stunned. I would have expected my testo to go down also more since I increased spiro and added Finasteride between those tests, well on March 3.

Is it possible I actually have a hormone cycle like a cis woman and that March 19 I was in the progesterone dominated phase? (I sometimes feel I do have a cycle)

Can progesterone or synthetic progesterone actually lower E level? Within a month such a drop?

How is this possible  ???

Sorry, I have such scant understanding of these things... even when my doc gives me my results they go over my head. Sounds like it could be a lab error but the body does act in mysterious ways sometimes...

bumping my own thread hoping someone would have a clue...

since then, I stopped taking medroxyprogesterone and figured the test was probably right, couldn't get a hold of my Dr, but after I stopped taking P, I noticed growing effects I associate with E, my skin dryer day by day, the shape around my eyes, of my nose, my hair I don't need to wash, my breasts hurting again whenever they touch something...

So I figured myself a 28 days cycle and will take very little progesterone at the start of the 3rd week of that cycle, which is Tuesday night. And of course discuss this with my doctor, send her a 2nd email (she must be on vacation) and get an appointment and another test ASAP.

I would check with your doctor. They would be able to tell you more. I don't have a response beyond that about it. Hugs

Since you are using patches, here are some thoughts on the last patch that was used,
bad patch,
bad patch placement,
bad patch attachment,
patch is dispensing faster than expected.

Without testosterone in your system, the biggest source of estrogen in your system will be from the patch. That is probably where your problem is.

Thanks Karin, makes sense. Actually, I've had doubts on these patches from the start, the ones I used before were half the dose but I felt the E flowing into my body, not these. I'll ask my pharmacist.
