Question about sensitivity from FTM

You might already know that there a few different procedures for FTMs - there's a thread here that is about that

The aim with I think all of the different kinds of FTM bottom surgery is to retain sensitivity - although there can be complications that result in partial or complete loss.

if you were looking to get rid of it, you would need to speak to a specific surgeon about this as i imagine it's quite a rare request. it's likely that it's physically possible to do so - if it can happen by accident it can probably be done on purpose - but surgeons might be hesitant.

In short, it depends. The hole can be removed, and the labia can be altered and remade into a scrotum. The clitoris remains and I've never heard of a surgeon removing it.

Metoidioplasty uses the existing female anatomy. Sensation is unchanged, and is said to improve.

Phalloplasty uses a flap of tissue from elsewhere on the body to create a phallus over the existing female anatomy. You will definitely at the least have sensation in the base of the penis where your original anatomy is buried. Some surgeons can also perform microsurgery that would give you full sensation. There are limited flaps of tissue that can have microsurgery performed on them, so depending on your choice of flap and choice of surgeon, you may have full erotic sensation through the new penis, or you may just have it in the base.

I thought you were talking about having NO sensation down there, at all, not switching from female to male 'feelings'. I'm not even certain that's something that really happens. I've heard that testosterone changes the intensity or quality of orgasms, and obviously it gives your existing anatomy some growth. the clit and the penis are actually the same kind of tissue, though, so i'm not certain that things like meta will change the feeling apart from psychologically, because it looks less like a ~female body part and more like a ~male one.

Like Max said, the sensation in a phalloplasty comes again from the parts that you already have - but because it'll look and feel like a penis, it might not feel like a 'female sensation'.

I'm having trouble understanding what you're asking. Do you mean sexual sensation? Or just sensation in general?
