TG: Annoying things SOME people says and does? E.g. some cis people.
What do you find annoying when it comes to what SOME people says and does?

Things I finds annoying.
* When people ask unnecessary questions that aren't relevant like tg stuffs or asking stupid impolite questions.
* When people refer you to your birth sex, old name and misgendering you, even after telling them not to do.
* When people thinks trans guys are trans women and visa verse. But I also do find it ridiculous hilarious sometimes.
* When people can't the difference between gender and sex. "He changed his gender for not so long time ago" ;D
* When people forgets your brain is biological too when talking about "biological sex". The body is biological, the brain is too.
* When people are conservative who just want to argue with you, saying your gender identity isn't true and saying you're mental ill or should be forbidden.
* When people claims they know much more than you about how being transgender works and what it feels like. Some of them do claims it feels like being born in the wrong body, but some transgender people do experience it difference. Experiences depends, we're not all the same.
* Phrases like "He used to be a man, now he's a woman", "We have normal women like them and we have men that becomes women" and offensive words like tr*nny, Sh***le and l**yboy.

I doesn't think at this all the time and off course people are allowed to do mistakes. If they doesn't know so much about this topic, it's alright. But when people who know it do it just to be mean, it's really ridiculous sometimes. Sometimes it's just ridiculous funny, even though it's also annoying. Other times it's just too mean in my opinion. What do you think is annoying, but might be hilarious sometimes at the same time?

Get off your soap box.. There's a perfectly valid reason cis people do many of those things. It's because they haven't had to think about sex/gender, it's because they haven't seen the need - unlike trans people who often agonise over such issues. They are also quite likely to try and say things in ways and using terms that they have a basic understanding of.

I find polite education works far better than ranting at them.

Well... unless you tell them you are trans how are they supposed to know? I mean like either way. If you look female still they aren't going to know and if you pass 100% they won't know unless you stick a post-it to your forehead or wear a t-shirt or something telling them or just publicly declare it.

But I agree with the idea that people who lecture trans people who are not trans have no business telling us ours.

If they doesn't know it, you shouldn't rant. Then you should politely talk to them in a way they understand. But if they know how it works, but saying things just to tease, it's another situation. Did you read my whole thread? I wrote it's alright if people do mistakes, but if they do it to be mean, it's a different situation and meaning.
