Wearing wigs after FFS?

Hey all, I wear wigs for costumes and such sometimes. I'm having FFS in November and wondering about wearing wigs again afterward.

How soon would you say I could wear one again after? (considering the scar will be right in the hairline).

I'm hoping 4 months will be long enough.

You can wear a wig as soon as the wound has healed. About two weeks I guess...

I concur on waiting until it heals, however healing time differs per individual.

As you know I've had "spitting sutures" along my coronal incision, they still occurred 9 months post surgery.  I saw my Primary Care Physician (PCP) last week and he removed dried material from 5 locations along my suture.  He did not see any sutures after removing the material.  Since then the scabs have not reformed, though using my fingers I can feel a spiky area on the top of my head.  This feels similar to other areas where a suture was "spit out".

Yeah, I know, "spitting sutures" suck.  Fortunately mine are no where near as bad as some of the horror stories I've read about.

I'm not trying to scare anyone, but just keep people informed.  I never heard of them until after it happened to me.  Initially I was very concerned, now when it happens I just kind of shrug and move on.

Yeah Dr D warned about it but said they were rare and that it only happened with certain people and he didn't know why.

Here's hoping I'm not one of those people
