So, today I was talking to my mom about my job interview and how I told them my transition plans (BTW, they said "Ok, that's fine by us"). We got to talking about it again, and she wanted to know where to go for support once I start hormones.
Though there are specialized therapists in our area, she's looking for more of an AA style meeting. There are two in our area I know of, but they're both with therapists that charge for it. So, I told her online is a good place to go, and told her about Susan's. I know there are others as well, so I'm asking how it is for you trans people who have SOs on Susan's. And for the SOs themselves. My mom and I are close, and she supports me. So, please let me know your experiences. I want to give her somewhere to go 😊

We have a SO section on the board where SO's may vent within reason, are protected and are less restricted than members posting in the same area. You are free to review the posts in the area but TG members are only permitted to support in the area and not start threads. You will find the area here.

When I signed up for this site, my husband asked about it. Then, he signed up. He may not frequent the site as much as I do, but it's great for the times he has questions he doesn't want to ask me. I'd imagine your mom may use this site in much the same fashion as my husband.

Hi
As a SO I have found the entire Susan's place website helpful, not just the significant others section but also reading all other sections to help me understand more.
I'm sure your mum would find this website helpful.
Marie :)
