My name is Ashley,

I am a post GRS/FFS woman who began her transition a few years ago at age 52. My life has never been better despite all the challenges of transition. I am here because I want to encourage those who need it and show those who are walking this same path that it can be done, you can make your choices work and amazing things lay ahead... I think there are enough negative opinions online to scare anyone out transitioning and perhaps never knowing the joy of a life that is truly their own!!... I have found happiness in life at levels I never dreamed were available to me and I do my best to pay that forward!!!

Take Care,
Ashley

"The individual has always had to struggle from being overwhelmed by the tribe... But, no price is too high for the privilege of owning yourself" ... Rudyard Kipling 🌸

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

Welcome to Susan's Place. Lately we have been accumulating a post surgical population which is a good thing. Many of the people leave the site after their transition is complete and that leaves a knowledge void. I had surgery in 1982 and while I am skilled working with new people, much of my surgical knowledge is pretty far out of date. Those of you with current knowledge will help to round out the knowledge base so everybody will be able to find the help they need.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Things that you should read

Thank You so much Dena!!!

I had actively avoided online forums going into this process because I was running into a lot of negativity that I didn't want swirling around in my mind since I knew my decision to move ahead was not going to change!

Now that I am on the other side of it though... I am seeking to offer up what I have learned to those who might find it useful in their journey

Take Care,

Ashley :)

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS
