people going to places like Thailand to have their GRS done? Does Thailand have the same health/safety standards as the US? Is it cheaper to get it done there? I keep hearing about it and I'm just wondering why.

FTMax

Much cheaper, shorter wait time generally, and the results are still great. For people in the US who don't have insurance and have no hope of getting insurance, it is a good way to get what you need at a lower price than what you'd pay here.

As an example, two of the top surgeons performing phalloplasty in the United States have a cash price of $125,000 for stage one. You can have the same exact procedure done in Thailand for roughly $32,000 excluding travel expenses. Serbia is another place a lot of FTMs consider, the price is similar to Thailand.

Well, I see lots of people who did the surgery in Thailand and the results are great. (how can I know by the way? The people say it is great so I believe it)
But I share you anxiety, what about safeness? Is really safe to do in Thailand compared to USA? If the answer is yes, so there is nothing to to hold back going to Thailand.

I'm thinking about Marci Bowers anyway...
