Is there anything like Partial FFS?

Hi all......

I'm not yet convinced I will ultimately transition full time. But age and weight loss are causing wrinkles and sags that I find unattractive. So, my question is are there procedures that will suit me no matter how I present? By undertaking sometime like a facelift, does the limit my options in the future?

Love to hear anyone's personal experience here......

Have you looked into laser skin resurfacing?  It is commonly used to reduce the appearance of age spots, wrinkles, acne scarring, and other signs of aging and imperfections.

Fractional CO2 laser is one of the more common types used for facial skin resurfacing.  I ended up getting mine done with an erbium glass laser... two of the dermatologists that I consulted with were concerned that due to my Asian skin tone, I was at much higher risk of hyper-pigmentation.  But even with the less powerful laser, it was definitely worth it!  I'm quite pleased with how it made my skin look smoother and younger.  I personally know two other women who have had fractional CO2 laser resurfacing, and they are very happy with the results.

There is no anesthesia involved (just numbing cream), and no incisions made.  And it costs significantly less than most other surgical procedures.  Maybe you can achieve the look you want with laser skin resurfacing.

I had not thought about that..... I think I saw that you also had your nose done, and been generally very happy with that?

Yes, I had a rhinoplasty while I was still questioning my gender identity.  At the time, I wasn't sure if transitioning was right for me, but I knew that I hated my nose.  And I knew that I was at least some sort of transgender person... And so I knew that I wanted a rhinoplasty regardless.

Not long after, I started HRT, worked through my identity issues with a gender therapist, and realized I'm actually a transsexual.  :)  I'm now full-time, out to all my friends, family, neighbors, and completed my legal name change. I am going back for more FFS (forehead and trachea shave) next month.  I had my rhinoplasty just 7 months ago, so yea... It all happened very fast, lol.

Hi Jocee...

I also did co2 fractal and 3 sessions of aggressive micro-needling... It made some very nice improvement... I also did surgical level dermal abrasion around the mouth during my second facial procedure...not sure which had the most impact but between them all I saw a huge difference in skn quality

Take Care

LSR was on my list of things to get done after 2015 FFS.  Was planning on doing it this christmas, during our annual shutdown.  Unfortunately life got in the way, now I have topical chemotherapy on my face scheduled for late October.  So no LSR until after I heal and determine whether I need more topical chemotherapy.

I was 57 when I had FFS last year, besides bone work I also had a lot of age related soft tissue work done too, upper/lower blepharoplasty, upper/lower facelift.  The corrugator muscle was also reduced, which really makes a difference for forehead wrinkles.

Good luck on your journey.

I recently  had  a thread face lift and filler using Silhouette (6)  threads and Perfectha filler and botox initially  i thought it might not be good idea  as i want full ffs whether that can be achieved  or  not i would settle for a androgenic look but after checking i found it would not effect future
Surgery so went ahead  i had my doubts but after 2 weeks it just keeps getting better i,m amazed at the difference I'd  lost alot of Collagen around under my eyes and in the cheeks ...but it really worked and no major surgery  i,m very critical of my self so if i notice a postive result then somethings happened i,ve also had comments from friends.... i need a deep skin peel or laser resurfacing but i have to wait a few months until the present procedures settle ...lasts for 18 months and longer i,m pleased taken a few years off me  ànd very painless and   virtually no down time

A lot can be done these days with fillers, botox, laser, kybella, mini-lift.  I've kind of realized that procedures like this are kind of necessary for me as i age.   A lot of cis women agree and do the same things.  "50 is the new 40"

What scares me is that, at 64 and not even close to passable, that a long road of FFS is ahead of me. Perhaps it's best to focus on the little things i have control over, and to set reasonable goals for FFS.

Thank you Ashley. I'm far from giving in to the fear, but it's nice to have friends who have already taken the journey
