Donna

Starting Saturday, I will be riding my motorcycle again on a coastal vacation involving both the Washington and Oregon coast on US Highway 101. As Donna, I will travel with no men's clothes in my luggage. I have a wet suit so I can stop at pretty beaches and body surf along the way. Too bad, I cannot travel with my surfboard on my motorcycle. Maybe I will stop at a surf shop and buy an inflatable boogie board. I will have internet access, so I will keep in touch.

The west coast is so beautiful. I miss it dearly. I envy your bike trip. I have to ask, what type of bike are you riding? So how do you manage helmet hair? Best wishes on you trip!

I ride a Suzuki DL650, otherwise known as the V-Strom 650.
I keep my hair cut in a style you might say is something like a short choppy bob or a long choppy pixie. My haircut is designed with a rather messy look from the start. When I take off my helmet I fluff up my hair again in the messy fashion the haircut was designed for.

I rock the Suzuki 700 (1985 sport bike).  I love being a biker-chick! One more day till your trip. Keep us posted! Some of us are living vicariously through you!

You are so sweet, Jessica.
I love to ride and travel. I also like to surf.
I will be doing both. I will check in along the way.

I am spending the night on the Washington Coast tonight. Beautiful ride so far, transgender or not. It is a thrill to do this trip as a Biker Chick! Tomorrow I cross the bridge over the Columbia River to Astoria, Oregon, and proceed South along the Oregon beaches. I have my really cute women's wet suit with me for fun in the surf at some of the beaches I will not be able to resist.

Love going new places on my Harley Sportster. I have either a braid or pony tail while riding. Arthritis usually limits me to around 120 miles a day

Right now, before I take off toward the Columbia River and Oregon beaches, I am stepping into the shower to wash my hair. My short choppy bob looks best dry and tousled. Then makeup, pack, and off I go. (When I take off my helmet I check my hair in a mirror and maybe re-fluff it with my fingers.) My destination for the night is only about 150 miles away, but I will stop many times along the way to take pictures. Touring the coast on a motorcycle is a beautiful experience!

Looks like I will spend the night in Seaside, Oregon. Very busy little beach town, even on a cloudy Sunday afternoon. Checked in at the hotel desk with my legal name that is still male, but I asked to be known as Donna. I chatted with the proprietor guy who said he lives in this town for the surfing. I told him I am known as Donna at my normal srrf beach in Washington State.
Time to freshen up my lipstick and check out the srrf conditions and simply stroll around in my sun dress.

I ride a R1200RT. I've been on the coast. Go into norcal from Oregon, the redwoods are incredible.

Quick check at the local surf conditions, and a walk on the beach. I hope to find a surf shop that rents boards from the beach. Motorcycles are not so good at carrying a surf board.

Unfortunately, there were no beach front surfboard rentals in Seaside, Oregon. So I just strolled about in the busy little town and out on the beach. I checked out the boards at a surf shop that I have long done internet orders with. I would give them a specific business name mention, but this is probably against our forum rules. Great staff, and really nice young sales lady named Raina, or Rayna. Really helpful. I introduced myself as Donna and explained that traveling by motorcycle I can't easily get a surfboard to the beach. She brought me to the front desk and told the business owner of my predicament. Nice guy - he took me behind the counter and showed me pictures of motorcycle adaptations that allow a surfer to transport a board to the beach.
I rode on down to Cannon Beach, Oregon. So beautiful a place it is hard to be there alone. Romantic businesses and shops and beautiful views. I will be back soon with my wife, I hope.

By the way, my new Avatar is a selfie on my beach walk in Seaside, Oregon.

Back at my own beach place in Washington once again. The ride from Oregon here was spectacular, but chilly.
I introduced myself as Donna to one of my beach neighbors who only knows me by my male name. I wanted him to know that the woman he has been seeing coming and going in a beach dress is me, not a woman I am having an affair with. He said, "Oh, that was you walking the access road. Whatever floats your boat." He seemed to be cool with me having both a male name and a female name. I told him when he sees me with a chain saw cutting fallen trees across the access road, I wear protective clothing and do not look like a woman. When I am here on property for relaxation I do not wear men's clothes.
He must have thought the female motorcyclist coming and going on the access road was some kind of intruder.

Do you live near vashon island in washington? just wondering as i have a ton of family there.
  •

Donna

I think I visited Vashon Island once. It is beautiful but far off the beaten bath compared to my neighborhood in the Puget Sound Area. I am sure I have no relatives there.
