Hey all! I am in the process of a move as you all well know and am trying to find some good kinds of therapy. I have the following to deal with: Childhood truama, a whole lotta Anxiety issues, meltdowns one would expect from an autistic person during great deals of stress ''mentdowns'' (diagnosed aspie), from what i understand quite a bit of internailized transphobia, obsessive thinking over things that disturb me a great deal, exessive spending without really relziing it until after the fact, drinking a lot when down and eating a lot of fast food when up (but also down too) ,ect. The issue is I have found over the years that regular talk therapy and pill popping do nothing. Through talk therapy i have been told what my issues are and such, but i cant seem to do anything to change the way my brain thinks. As I get older this is becoming a much larger pain and i was wondering if anyone found other therapies that work? I am looking an a hypnotharpist for some of my issues and aswell EMDR. Has anyone found those two helpful to pin pointing why these issues are as prevelant as they are and more importantly how to use it to overcome them and make the life better?
Again I cant do too much until July when we move to the bigger city but atleast with some advice I can look up some stuff in the mean time. Any suggetions are great!
