Post op question regarding immigration

So me and my Fiance have decided to immigrate completely to New Zealand sometime in the next ten years so it's a long term plan. However we both agreed it should happen when I am post-op both surgically and legally here in the us. Some questions I do have about that is: Will I face any problems because of my past identity? Will I be able to continue taking estrogen over there? We want to adopt should we do that here first or will I be allowed to adopt as a married woman? We are looking at the Tauranga area does anyone know anything about the lgbt community there? By the time I move I should have my gender marker and name and birth certificate changed is there some form of immigration fraud I could be accused of if I don't disclose my trangenderness or is that not something they could even find out about? Thanks so much in advance I'm really in a bind on this because it's such a long process I'm gonna need a plan that can span a few years.

If you're documents are all in line you should have absolutely no problem at all- it's what your current status is that matters. You don't even have to be post-op as long as your documents are in line with your identity

I'd worry about the cost. I think that Australia and New Zealand have personal wealth requirements for people emigrating to there and it's not a small amount.

Stupid question: Is your Fiance from New Zealand?

Also, assuming you are an American, if you adopt in New Zealand, your child will not have automatic rights to US Citizenship.

@gertrude that shouldn't be a problem my job that I will meet qualification for in the next year or so is on the long term job shortage list and my fiance is on the list too and even if that doesn't bypass the personal wealth requirement both of our careers are fairly well paying so we should be fine

@KarynMcD no my Fiance isn't but my aunt married someone from there so I do have family over there and as for are child not having citizenship with the usa I'm honestly fine with that cause we are hoping to immigrate permanently as in we don't want to come back just cause me and my fiance are of the opinion that America is getting too devisive and is at too much risk of separating violently and we don't want to subject our children to a war they had no say in because the upper class buergoise has to much say and america has become an oligarchy so getting out is imperative for us.

Yeah, unless you are planning on staying illegally, your Aunt's Husband doesn't qualify you for a Family Type Visa.

@KarynMcD no I'm not using a family visa I was gonna do a working vacation to see if I really like it there. If I do I'm planning to do a skilled migrant visa into a work to live visa after 2 more years.

You might like to take a look at Australia. I know a number of people who've moved from NZ to Australia, and a few the other way.
