Hi Everyone,

I have just started my transitioning for about 2 months, and I am 20 years old. I am out of spironolactone at the moment, but have a few estrogen pills. I contacted my local hospital to make an appointment with my doctor. But turns out that she won't be available till 20 days. I was wondering is it healthy to just take estrodial instead for now since i'm out of spironolactone, or should I stop taking both Spiro and estrodial? What are the side effects if I stop my transition for 20 days? :(

Welcome to Susan's Place. Taking estradiol without Spiro isn't harmful but your testosterone levels my rise again. You might contact the doctors staff and see if the can extend the prescription until the doctor returns. This will also make it difficult to adjust your dosages at the next appointment as your test results for sex hormones may not be valid. The only side effects may be the return of the old feelings you had before you started HRT. Good luck on getting this corrected.
