I just came back from my first appointment with the endo (with lab referral in hand) and I got to say he's the best person I could hope to ask for. Apparently he was the first endo to administer hormones to transgender patients back in 1970's Vancouver (he's here in Nanaimo now) and his son is also a gay trans man (like me), and he's really for petitioning and fixing all the obstacles trans people face in the medical field (like inaccurate statistics on prostrate and breast cancer).
I don't know, I just wanted to say I had an awesome experience with him, and along with my open and mellow counselor who referred me to him I'm just feeling on cloud nine and super pumped for the next few months. I'll have to wait a month for the lab test results and my next appointment with him, but if all goes well with my hormone readiness assessment I'll be on T by september.
I'm so happy.

Canada, I am proud.
