So. I put my money on the table. Or, rather on the deposit.

I wasn't really serious about exploring FFS, and then I was, like, "what could it hurt to get a consult or two?" and then I was like, "Omigod, that's *how* much?"

And now I've committed to a set of procedures. I've given myself a lot of advance time to coordinate stuff like being off work and the like, so it's not like anything is happening *soon*. But still. All the butterflies in my stomach are flitting about saying, "Hey, it's totally real now. It's a thing that's going to happen."

I can't say that it's terribly useful to just start giving voice to all my sudden nerves, but maybe I can indulge them for just a moment and say, "Yeah, I hear you, nerves. I hear you."

Congrats. It's nice to have a date you can plan your life around. Mine is in 36 days and I have so much to do before it happens...

gratz! It's good to acknowledge nerves, I think. It's only natural to have them and it's healthy to go into it with good expectations, rather than being in denial about your own body/nerves/stress.

Good luck! When's the op? and who did you go with?
