Little things

Sometimes as I look down this long road I have but made the first step, coming out, in it can be daunting. I stayed late at a meeting the other day to help two of the girls, cis, with the bulletin boards we are redoing. One of them came up to me and said she had a present and she had waited 'til we were alone to give it to me because she didn't know how I'd feel. She gave me an eye shadow kit and some lip gloss. I was thrilled. I'm still in man mode but have started wearing VERY light makeup and am growing my hair out. She has noticed I wear a little light eye shadow and mascara and has told me it looks good. She knows I'm broke and thought I'd like some different colors and gave me some tips. It really made me feel like one of the girls and perked up my night.
