question about orchi and the permenance of physical femeninity

fearing worst case scenarios in life ('cause you never know), if you have an full orchi and for whatever reason lose access to estrogens of any kind, post full orchi, does your body eventually revert to its masculinized form, or, since you'd no longer produce testosterone, would you retain whatever level of physical femenization you'd achieved at the point of losing access to your estrogens? could a totally different outcome occur where the body is neither masculinized or feminized, but convert to androgyny?

It is my understanding that your hormone levels would be compared to those of a menopause woman. I don't think your body would masculinized since you have no testicles to produce the amount of testosterone needed for that.

I was born with one testicle so from personal experience, I can tell you that testosterone production is important for males and females and intersex people. Now with that said, for someone like myself, the lack of testosterone really assisted in my early development to look and feel and think female. For someone who has their testicles removed after puberty, the effects will be more in regards to your hormonal balance and such, and secondary effects caused from that; furthermore you will need supplemental hormones. Estrogen plays a part in enhancing the feminine qualities that everyone does indeed have. If you have your testicles removed and you incorporate estrogen, then you will further enhance your feminine qualities.

sure, micki, but lets say a two teste'd guy decided to transition and three years into it you lost access to estrogens. would you keep your breasts/waist/hairline/butt/lack of body hair/etc?

Once the testes are gone, there is no testosterone to add masculine traits back to a feminized body. In my case, breasts and hips would shrink some, but not completely. I am already at a post-menopausal age, so I doubt anyone would wonder "what's up", but I am trying to avoid that.

You would not have to worry about looking like a man, unless you do when you stop estrogens.

Using your example if someone had no testosterone production and no estrogen production, you could have health issues. Hormones are produced by other organs too, aside from the testes and ovaries, just not enough though to sustain you. It's important to make sure to take your time during this stage of transitioning. My advice is to give your choice some serious thinking, due to health purposes and your access to necessary health resources. Including, seeking out multiple opinions from licensed endocrinologists.

i live in wa, micki, so my hrt is free for the indeterminate future, so i'm talking like catastrophic social collapse or wa state changes its hrt laws a year deep for me, or trump becomes pres and bans trans care of any kind, etc. as far as getting estrogens, thats doable regardless.

Every bit of change in hormonal balance has all sorts of major and minor effects, though it's near impossible to actually specify what kind of effect or effects an individual will have. Everyone is different, due to our uniquely individual genes and chromosomes. Females require testosterone, just like males do. Less testosterone and more estrogen though will indeed lessen your typical male characteristics and further enhance your female characteristics. For sure that's a certainty.

I lost access to HRT for about 10 years and I lost facial fat, my breast reduce a little in size and I lost some of the fat that deposited in my  upper legs. Unfortunately it moved to my stomach area and I developed some what of a pot as the result. Now I am back on HRT the fat is returning to it's proper place. The old attitude was you needed to go into female menopause but that doesn't mean the elimination of all estrogen. My current dosage is in the high end of the menopause range and I am still seeing feminization. The feminine estradiol range is 16/60 pg/ml and if you don't test mid range or better, you should receive supplements.

In sort, you don't masculinize but you will lose some of the feminine appearance.

I never could afford electrolysis. Fortunately, I never had more than peach fuzz. That has never changed.
