I had my fifth endo appointment today and finally went as myself.  At this point all I really have to do is wear a different and tightish shirt.  Anyway, the sky didn't fall and nobody really even gave me a second look.  Yaaay

This is actually kind of a big deal for me as I have been really scared to go go out the door as myself, even with my hair as it is and 20 months of HRT.  One more small step.
Love is not obedience, conformity, or submission. It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being....  - Dan Barker

Hello Deborah,

Congratulations, small steps but so much fun! You mentioned the significance of the step but you didn't comment on how great it was to have it work out so positively...fess up girl, tell us how you really feel.

My hrt doctor is an OBGYN cis woman at a local woman's clinic. It is far less difficult for me to go in and sit in the waiting room as Anne than dressed in my guy clothes. They have always treated me well and with respect and I have not noticed any of the other patients so much as raise an eyebrow, even when we talk while waiting.

By the way, I just had my first follow up visit and blood test done last Friday. Dr was up and positive, T was below 3 and e was at 78. Good numbers and heading in the right direction, plus I am just getting my first itching and soreness in my breasts...feeling over the moon! I just love it when things are going as hoped.

Keep taking and celebrating those steps.

Anne

Hey there :)
Feels great, eh? I had this gradually, until I realised I was (still are) 24/7...no more male stuff in my closet...
One day, you'll be so used to it, it'll be natural :)

Congratulations, Deborah!  That is a big step.

If you find people giving you a "second look" or *shudder* staring, it's because you look gorgeous.

Woohoo! Congrats! :D
It's ridiculous how terrifying leaving the house can be.
