Introduction & Starting HRT This Month

I just wanted to introduce myself to this forum and say that I look forward to the support, interaction and discussion on these boards with all of you extraordinary souls. I officially have my letter from my therapist and am seeing my Dr on September 6th to begin this amazing next step in my evolution. I am incredibly excited and scared but wouldn't have it any other way.

I will document my journey on here and am so very grateful that I will have this community for support. I subscribed tonight and will give as much as I can to keep this forum/community strong/active.

Welcome to Susan's Place. We are not so extraordinary as all of us started out pretty much where you are now. You are not seeing the battles we fought that are the same ones you are facing. Your are only seeing the end results. I suggest a year from now you review your posting history and look at the early threads. Welcome to Susan's and congratulations on the step you are taking tomorrow! HRT is a little step that seems to take almost forever to begin and then another forever for changes to show up. But it is also such a huge step and, for me, felt like the beginning of becoming who I want to be. I am about two months ahead of you on the hrt timeline and still am awash in the newness of it all. Enjoy the ride and hold on tight for it can really feel like a roller coaster at times. Please share the wonder of your journey as you grow.

Thursday September 1st, was my first day of HRT. Like you I am going to try and document everything, and monthly, update the changes that I am observing. To finally align my physical self with my mental self is something that I never thought was going to be possible. For that to be finally in sight I cannot describe in words. Happy to hear that you are starting hrt. I've only been on HRT for three months, but I'll give you any support I can offer.

I started August 15, i must say the mental stability has helped a lot. It's like my body was missing something and once it returned my body has really taken to it well.  I have suspicions that I'm a DES baby. My mother had miscarriages before I was born. Women were given synthetic estrogen 3000 5000 times greater dosage than a birth control pill. No wonder my body thought there was something missing all these years. I hope your experience is as well received as mine. I have not felt this good in a long, long, long time.
