alright,
probably a thread like this out there somewhere already but I couldn't find it. So I've gotten to the punt where i can pass most of the time until my I have to talk. there have actually been a few times when I have been doing something and they will call me "sir" and when I thank or say something to them they automatically go "oh I'm sorry I meant mam!". so yep this is something that needs to be fixed. Anyone have any Tips on how to make your voice sound more masculine before it does it itself with T? even if its just a little bit it can help.
thanks

Just talk from your chest in a monotone quieter voice. Females end sentences in a higher pitch sounding more excitable. You'll find plenty of articles online and vids on YouTube for ftms on how to talk more masculine.
They/them pronouns preferred.

To lower the voice, you need to relax the muscles between you larynx and your jaw. This will drop you into the chest voice and the vibrations when you talk will be in the neck area instead of feeling them in your mouth. For MTFs the opposite is true and that's how we obtain a feminine voice.

Dena and Elis are spot on. Equally important to how your voice sounds, IMO is the manner in which you speak and your body language. A lot of people have what are perceived to be very feminine mannerisms that will out you or at least give people pause. I find that the more you focus on making your voice sound right, the more these other things (which have been ingrained in you for however long you've been alive) slip.

Thanks for the tips! I'm going to try to do a bit of work on it this weekend and continue whenever I can to see how it goes. The mannerisms is something that is kind of difficult for me because while I am a man, I am a fairly  feminine one. It's hard to find the right balance, although I think I'm starting to get it.
