"Kind Clinic in Austin is now offering no cost transgender care in response to the Texas Senate advancing the Bathroom Bill SB6 Tuesday. Kind Clinic, a nonprofit operates on grants and donations does not do surgery, but uses the informed consent model for prescribing Hormones to help the 125,000 transgender people living in Texas.
From the Kind Clinic blog, "We use an informed consent model. We give you the most current information we have about hormone replacement therapy giving you the choice about what to do with your own body. We also provide referrals for other services or qualified physicians."

Joe McAdams, executive director of Texas Health Action's Kind Clinic, spoke with the Texas Standard about the clinic which opened in Austin on Thursday, says input from the transgender community is important to understand exactly what challenges they face.
McAdams also talks about State Representative Donna Howard, a Democrat from Austin, who filed House Bill 943 to create a Transgender Health Advisory Committee. The committee's goal would be to tackle challenges in care for members of the transgender community."
