I just started HRT on Friday. It is a large step for me and it has made me nervous. I am excited about the change but now I am one step closer to coming out and that scares me.

It is normal to be nervous as this is the start of a huge journey.  The changes will be subtle to start and you will likely have time to acclimate as 'the new normal' arrives for each step.  After a few months, you get used to the feelings that start to flow.  Just breath, whenever you are experience the stress.  It helps and then know that you are not alone and you are not at a fixed point.

Congratulations! This is indeed a big step. Enjoy the ride and try to be patient....  I remember well when I started 7 months ago and checked my body in the mirror every morning to see if I changed overnight. I thought changes will never start until people suddenly starting calling me ma'am while in boy mode ...

It's normal to be nervous at this point and congrats on this big step. As you are on HRT longer and longer that will subside and you will start to enjoy the ride. Hugs

HRT is a wonderful thing..me personally I feel better than I have at any other period in my life that I can remember. I hope it works out just as well for you.

Quite normal...  Don't worry about that, it gets less spooky an hour after your appointment.  Truth be told, they had to check my blood pressure 3 times at Endocrinology because they were considering sending me to the Emergency room before I Stroked my blood pressure was off the charts high...  After an hour long conversation with my Endocrinologist, low and behold.... I had my normal low end blood pressure.  And with literally "Years" for it to work all it's magic... You have time to change your mind on that road.  So nothing to really be too worried about.  You have plenty of time to decide if you like it...

Going through my second month of HRT, it's scary and fun, but all in all has been worth it for me. The dysphoria is basically gone. That was my main goal of this. You'll be fine, enjoy the ride

Congrats! I'd bet pretty much everyone experiences nervousness. You got this!

I started about a year ago on a very low dose with hopes of easing the gender disphoria stress. I have a wife and young son (who I love to pieces) so this has been a LOT of stress.  My Dr and I agreed to increase the dose

Anyway, doc increased dose, and I'm a year in. The changes are real and wonderful, and all the horrible things I thought would come to pass, have not.
