Hi, I live in SI, NY and I'm trying to find "Informed Consent" clinics that aren't too far— My Mom would refuse any place in Manhattan. Maybe a place in New Jersey but she doesn't really want to travel off the island. I told her that we'll talk in five months on my birthday about this, so I want to have a place planned out beforehand. I'm also new to this place, so I'm not familiar how to use the Start New Topic correctly. Sorry.

Way too far. They are a 3 to 4 hour drive from Staten Island.

Welcome to Susan's Place. Many of our members are locating assistance through the local LGBT centers as Karyn suggested. If you are unable to find an informed consent clinic, another possibly is to start seeing a gender therapist and they may be able to refer you to an endo who can treat you. A therapist had the advantage that you may need additional letters and if you have a working relationship with one, the letters will be easer to obtain.

I take it you need someone there to sign for you? You are not able to take public transportation to come into Manhattan on your own? She needs to be along to give parental consent?
