Hi everyone!

I could do with some advice regarding fashion and what I can be doing in what is currently quite a restrictive situation.

I'm currently pre-transition and hence I am still physically very masculine. I shave what hair I can, although due to the pressures of being in a locker room with guys on more than one occasion a week, this is somewhat minimal. In addition, as part of being an army reserve, I am not allowed to grow my hair beyond collar length.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can wear/change that would help me feel and look more feminine, whilst still being acceptable and not looking bad in this role?

Use female tank top, they are barely noticeable from guys tank top/undershirt and yet it can help you feeling more feminine.

You're not in law enforcement are you?

Anyway, I would say one thing you can do is possibly get a clear coat on your nails.  There is something cathartic about painting your nails, even if it's just a clear coat.  Being prior army and currently in a position where I also change in a locker room, I usually come in early to change so that people don't notice certain things. (I'm currently 17 months on hrt and closeted.)

womens socks, necklace, or underwear.  With underwear, you would probably need to wear a pair of boxers or something over them.

All hail the Wig. Clip on earrings, Levi's are great, just get the skinny ones. After transitioning and your butt fills out then buy ladies pants. I noticed the other day when I put on a pair of pants I hadn't worn in a while that the butt was getting a little tight. A sports bra serves the purpose of wearing a bra without announcing to the world you don't have cleavage. Panties fill the bill for underwear. Have your ears pierced at Claires they are in most malls. A nice dark colored tunic would minimize the masculine features. Are you going to pass? Probably not. But this is for you and your sense of self. Not the red neck coming your way. Smile, act confident, don't turn around to argue. Lord knows how hard it is to change set minds. Big feet? Get custom made shoes at Nordstrom up to ladies 15 which correspond with mens 13. They aren't cheap about $180 but they will look better, fit better, and last longer than the Payless cheapies.
Wigs come in many styles, lengths and costs. synthetic wigs run from about $50. Human hair start at about $160. Some cost in the thousands. Human hair of course is going to look more natural, but synthetics are getting better. When you get it, it will need to get it styled to your preference professionally.

My current style is to wear nothing but button-down cool colored dress shirts with a black leather dress-jacket, and put my hair in a tight ponytail when in professional or otherwise stealth settings.  The semi-formal look not only hides my hairless arms and legs, and provides bulk to hide other changes, but looks very professional.  I pass for a part-cherokee businessman.  Do that, and the changes you make to your body will be overlooked by the look of a sharply dressed male.

Edit: didn't click to me that you have to pass naked... Um... Ok.  You should be able to get away with only partially shaving your legs.  Get a shaver with a beard-trimming attachment and slowly whittle down your body hair so that you have less but decidedly do have it.  HRT also takes a while to change things to the point where your breasts are too large to hide, so you may he able to get away with that...

Oh hey!  You know what I just remembered helps for me?  My bed is done up in a SUPER GIRLY manner, complete with extra-soft bedding and a pile of cute and cuddle plushies.  Color wise, one wouldn't realize, because it's a relatively low-key green and brown foresty scheme, but I like that and don't see it in the dark, though a future setup may involve lots of pink...

Try making private spaces where you spend alot of time that heavily indulge your euphoria: it can really help to have something like that to go home to...
