Hey, thought I would stop by and say hi. I have just been keeping my head into the wind and moving happily forward.
My wife filed for divorce and moved out, we are still friends.
I said heck with the back and forth, I have been full time since the beginning of sept. This is about 6 months earlier than my original timeline.
Obviously I had to come out at work, I was amazed at the amount of people showing their support. Oddly enough upper management has been horrible, the most offensive comments I have heard since transitioning came from a boss very high up. Odd since I work for a branch of the DOJ. A number of people misgender me constantly, not by accident.
I am soooo taking care of the above situation, if anyone after me transitions they WILL have it easier when I am finished with these "people" woops better not finish that sentence the way I was going to.haha
I have been meeting new people, very nice people
I am getting a roomate this month, she has been so inspirational. I can't wait to get to know her better. Already feel like great friends.
I started the process for my name change.
Still not really "passable"....don't care I am a transwomen and proud.
I have been ma'am ed without makeup on wearing gender neutral clothing, then 10 minutes later sir from someone else lol
I have learned to forget any preconceived notions as to how people will react to my transition, people will surprise, good and bad.
Heck with a timeline and planning, just wing it, When the time feels right do it.
What a blast...enjoy yourselves
BTW what is up with my username...yuck...soon2b...what was I thinking...was "I am" taken lol
