Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay will co-sponsor the New York event of the Yogyakarta Principles, a global charter for gay rights, at the United Nations on November 7, 2007, Human Rights Watch said today. The Yogyakarta Principles, a landmark advance in the struggle to ensure basic human rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, were developed in response to well-documented patterns of abuse worldwide.
