Funny how we look at a commitment!

I joined Susan's in 2008 and helped people, made friends quite quickly because I'm a chatty girl. I also needed a lot of help.

Dennis was the Admin, a lovely man, he left and a controversial figure came in;  Nero.

He had been banned and reformed and I loved him. He was a man who struggled but at least he fought his battles. Oh my goddess he fought his battles.

When he died I was asked to take over. If any of you can imagine a phone call at 7 am at the time of Nero's death from Susan asking saying. 'Can you run the site?' 'I'll give you 30 seconds'

I made a decision.

Since then I have worked with Sue, she has blossomed  :-* and so has the site.

I have had staff that I trust with my life. I have made friends who I cherish as my sisters and brothers.

I have also been very ill.

I'm an odd person. I don't give in. My illness so I was told nearly killed me. I don't recall more than being comatose. But I'm back.

I'm weaker but I'm getting stronger. I don't post as much but partly because I get tired.

I started in the gym last week. I fight for my life and I shall fight for my beliefs.

I thing this site is a very good site.

I think the Forum Admin may be open to criticism particularly from her staff. But my I ask forgiveness for recovery from illness.

I think a lot of people think stuff is worth fighting for.

I think fighting for this site is one of them.

We have about $500 for this month.

I've made this plea so often. Can you support us? Can you support you?

Maybe you can think of supporting a gender diverse friend by supporting us.

I will continue to support the site because supporting transgender people is important to me.

Maybe you can as well?

Cindy

Everyone understands that not all members are in a position to help. I do hope everyone who can, will be pitching in. I am still amazed with how little Susan and her team manages to keep the site running. But I also understand that there are limitations - I have been in similar positions before and I had to "pull the plug" at some point. I am very worried that this might happen to this site and the great resources it does provide.

I really hope every member able to can support the site, ideally with a subscription. And again - we all understand not everyone can help.

I know the whole registered charity thing has been raised before. I'm totally happy to donate as I currently do. But if there were an official charity, I would be very happy to raise sponsorship when I run races etc... , and others might too. This would be far more than I can ever afford myself.
