Is body hair removal worth it?

I'm getting ready to take the plunge and start hair removal. I've always hated body hair more than facial, and I'm wondering if its worth it to get it removed or if hormones will do the trick. For reference when I don't shave I get very hairy, as in if I swim in a lake I get harassed by all of those finding bigfoot shows. Thanks in advance.

About hrt, just look at the women of your family, if most are naturally hairy then odds are you will be too but naturally hairy on E vs T are way different. I'm still pretty hairy body wise but its gone down a lot over the years and I'm still seeing changes far into hrt. It's nowhere near as dense as it was prehrt. If you can't afford laser, opt for waxing the body hair. In my experience it does permanently alter how it grows out once you're on hrt of course.

Second on laser, if possible.  My legs are not completely hairless, but they're pretty close now.  The feel of (near) hairless skin on my legs, back and bikini area is very comforting. I have also found that the skin in many areas cleared via electrolysis have become more sensitive (i.e. ticklish), which has become quite a bonus for my wife.

It really depends on your timeline and goals.

Have you started HRT?

Are you trying to go full time?

Have you already finished your face?

Are you passable if you shave your body?

Are you looking for the convenience factor ASAP or can you wait?

For me getting started on HRT and getting the face done helped with my dysphoria enough (allowed me to go full time) to give the HRT time to affect the body hair. I'm at a point, about six months into HRT where my body hair is becoming less dense, and reverting back to the blonde baby hair.

I'm actually glad I just dealt with hassle of shaving as laser is really expensive and electrolysis is both really expensive and time consuming.

My hair got to the point where it looks like I've had multiple laser sessions with just HRT.

I would rate my body hairiness as a 5/10 at start. So like everything in the transition landscape YMMV

I almost spent a lot of money on removing body hair.. Glad I didn't, as 8 or so months on hormones and waxing the obvious bits left me with no chest hair and female-typical body hair elsewhere. Even the downstairs rug has changed.

I've heard sugaring is just as effective as waxing. You can make the mixture right in your own kitchen. Anyone else had experience sugaring, that could give advice? Unfortunately face hair is too thick to rip off. A lot of tutorials on Facebook.

2 Days after deciding to transition I had my entire body "sugared"...I loved the experience...it cost me $180 but I would not bother again, HRT is slowing all that down so it is even less of a hassle.
