So, I've been putting this off for a couple years now. I've recently started trying to stand while going to the bathroom. It's a pretty big thing for me to accomplish, considering I am the absolute worst kind of bladder shy. I had to gradually get used to standing, including straddling the bowl backwards like someone who's never used a toilet before. After a couple days practice and pushing my daily 8 glasses of water intake, I have had some success

However, I'm still nervous, and I can't seem to empty my bladder fully when I stand. That's the annoying part. And as much as I'm happy I finally got the courage to make this happen, I have now become severely impatient on mastering it.
I know most of it is stress, but it's hard to relax when anxiety is talking your ear off while you're trying to go. Also, I can't go unless the sink is running, and all my brain wants to think about is how much water I'm wasting while I'm standing, waiting for my body to relax.
My kidney doctor told me to up my water intake to keep my stones in check, but I think I had 4 sixteen ounce servings already today, and yesterday. I'm worried about taking in anymore. I also ordered a green Go Girl a few days ago, and I should get it tomorrow; I read it has an easier learning curve than most stps, so I'll see tomorrow if it's true. Anyways, is this just something that takes more time to get used to? Do you have any tips on relaxing more?
