Going a bit stir crazy waiting for January so working on plan B.

As per topic I'm looking into what options are available in Scotland preferably or UK overall for obtaining an appropriate diagnosis and 2 referral letters. Always funny that like everyone in the universe knows but I need letters from 2 strangers for it to be official. Ah well better a broken system than no system I guess.

My spider sense says given how long it's taken to even get a "Hello" from GIC it will probably be a ridiculously slow process at best through NHS channels.

With everything else done I've only got surgery left on my list thanks to my awesome GP, speech therapist, laser guy and electrolycist.

Almost wishing there was something else to work on while I wait but I'm totally finished. Well apart from the finale but yeah all done and I really hate waiting for the sake of it.

Sorry I wandered way off topic there but yeah I'm basically looking to buy a legit diagnosis and letters for surgery. Does anyone have any experience of this they can share as apart from Lindsay Myskow (who isn't answering her emails) in Edinburgh and Sandyford in Glasgow (1 year to say "Hi" seriously) there appears to be nobody.

If you want surgery in Thailand I know one or two ways of getting letters. No idea what the UK surgeons require.

Giving serious consideration to Thailand as I think that will be the fastest and best overall job. Still to try and price it all up though and still a 2 letter requirement. That way I don't want to risk paying all that only to be told "Sorry you're docs are insufficient".

UK surgery alone is £12500 so no idea yet as to even a proper bottom line ballpark figure for Thailand for flights, accommodation, surgery etc.

At this point any information is very welcome.

Money is limited as always but I'll usually find a way.

I believe there's an online spreadsheet somewhere with the overall cost of going to Suporn and Chettawut. In Thailand Suporn's the most expensive and longest wait list (not sure but I think its 595K baht and 18 months, plus hotel). I think Dr Chettawutt is 2/3 that and a few months wait list. There's been some positive posts recently here about PAI as well.

You only need one letter for Suporn, he provides the other. Dr Chettawut wants two, but will provide both if you pay extra.

I've heard the online psych Dr Graham Peveller will provide a suitable letter.

Thank you I'll do some digging for that spreadsheet as I've never even booked an international holiday much less a months stay plus surgery. With the time frames involved I best investigate fast to try nail a date then get what I need put in place. That way I'm wishing I considered Thailand more seriously months ago to make it work.

Given the good things I've heard about all 3 it will most likely come down to wait times. With 18 months for Suporn unfortunately that takes him off the table as naturally he was my first choice. Money matters a bit but for this type of work I'll stretch finances until it hurts then stretch some more.

I'll check in the other areas here on Susans for some more info as UK seems to be becoming less viable with every passing day.

Wow simply wow. When seen like that I can understand wait times so much more especially as those on the list will have had to serve their time on the list too.

Pretty set on 2017 though I really struggle to think about having to live like this for more than another year.

Decided UK way to much hassle for everything so I'm going to give up and go to Thailand instead :)
