2 weeks ago I had my consultation with a plastic surgeon. He told me about the process the procedures, and the healing time. He told me we would do the insition under my chin instead of my neck. It is so that the scar is not as noticeable and he will stretch the 2 muscles so its easier for him to get to it. (Has anyone here had a trach shave done that way. Please let me know your experience.) After the intro I paid a deposit to reserve my appointment date. After that he gave me a ct scan requsition, it is so he can see how much to shave off. Then a few medical history paper work for my family dr, and another sheet of paper to do my blood test. I did my ct scan last week. So today I will go to my fam dr and get all the paperwork done and faxed. My surgery is Dec 6. I am very nervious and a bit scared, and excited. I hope everything goes well and according to plan. Incase some of you are wondering the surgery costs me $8390 CAD luckily I have that much saved up. I hope that is a reasonal price. Let me know and wish me luck
