Tucking hurts

Hey ladies,

So I have watched a couple different YouTube vids about how to make a gaff and how to tuck. My penis (when not aroused) is relatively small maybe an inch and a half at most. However, my testis are rather large and it hurts a lot when they are in the abdominal cavity and I then go to close me legs. The pressure is almost unbearable.

Tips and tricks are always welcomed

Me, too.  I prefer flowy skirts, so most of the time I don't even try to tuck.  But when tucking is appropriate or necessary, I use shapewear panties.  They work quite well, giving a smooth look under pants without squishing anything painfully.  I wore them all day yesterday without getting uncomfortable.

It use to hurt for me too, but not anymore... guess I got use to it. Plus hormones shrunk my testis.

Ditto! No pain no gain?? After years of tucking, the tighter the better, I now feel uncomfortable not doing it at all? Wearing jeans with nothing under has become a nuisance at best!!

Do you really need 'gaffs'? What kind of anti-A using? Casodex best 'chemical castration' I've found, better than an 'orchi'? Between daughter and my son's girlfriend keeping FAV underwear for tucking has become an impossible task, all being 'lost in the wash'!!
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"

Is tucking easier with or without a gaff?  And I get it, No pain, No gain! I'm going to have a lot of that during my transition. What is the best type of panties to buy?

Thanks ladies much love 💋❤️💋

the gaff changed my life because before I found out about it I couldn't tuck in pantys or bikinis, but now I can since I wear a gaff all the time.

Angélique, I don't know how you manage it. I can't do it, even after a year on HRT and some degree of "shrinkage" down there.  It's just too uncomfortable. I just pick loose skirts or slacks, and flowing tops so the bulge isn't noticeable.  RLE sucks.  I can't wait for SRS, but it's going to be a year away at best. Thanks, WPATH.

Hey Terri,

So I'm not up on all my terms yet, what is RLE?

Alora - RLE stands for "Real Life Experience". Meaning you are living 100% full time in your real gender. RLE is often a requirement for surgery and the few insurances paying for surgery usually require one year of RLE. It is in line with the standards of care for trans people. However it is heavily discussed since this can cause more problems than it is worth...

gafs are a life saver, i am pre hrt and when wearing jeans they are amazing. i used to only be able to handle around 4~6hours and now its all day. lets just say i aint tiny.

i tried tape, no bloody thankyou.

gafs all the way, the little fellas dont need to be all the way up to the max in their cavaties btw. they wont stay all the way in there anyway (gravity and walking)

Yeah - hurts a lot. Have not figured how to do it best. Sometimes it works and I can stay tucked for two or three hours but most of the time it hurts right away. Also noticed that it hurts more when sitting. No leg crossing when tucking...

The real catch is that most cloth I want to wear need tucking... so I am more and more considering surgery.

Also agree on RLE - I hope that the SOC will evolve (soon) and RLE will no longer be a strict requirement...

Hi Alora,

Sorry about the acronyms, but it looks like your question was already answered.  I only wanted to add that what I should have said was "RLE with a penis sucks". Living full-time as a female is wonderful, or at least it could be.  The problem is that one of my kids, as well as my soon-to-be ex-wife are totally not on board with me presenting as female, so the RLE requirement is making me choose between seeing my kids and getting my insurance company to pay for my SRS.

I also present as "male" at work, although I am not sure who I am fooling.  Last week the department secretary complimented me on how nice my eyebrows looked, lol. I know some people know, and I am guessing quite a few suspect, especially after I legally changed my name from Terence to Terri, and that name now shows up on all my e-mails. and I have had very noticeable FFS.

To me, clothing does not define gender. I think of myself as female 100% of the time.  To address the RLE requirement, I have changed my gender marker with the SSA and the Virginia DMV, and the US State Department (i.e. passport). I am legally female.  If anyone asks when I started RLE, I just show them my driver's license, and point to the date it was issued.

Hi Terri,

Thanks for sharing. I'm really sorry that your soon to be ex wife and one of your kids are having a hard time excepting you for who you are. The name and gender change is something else to will need to look into. But I think that is going to be a year down the road at least for me. I'm in a hurry to make the transition, but I know making the change is half the fun. The journey of self discovery is exciting.

Been tucking and wearing bra and panties pretty much full time for about 3 months.   Gotten used to it and I really don't feel right untucked any more.  Certain  times doesn't work well though I usually can stay tucked even while running.
I do use tape sometimes.  I've been shaving that area for a while so no issues like that. Took a few tries but found a type of athletic tape that works well, not irritating, stays stuck when i do it right and comes off ok.  Comes in pink and purple also :).  (Think it's Mueller M-tape?)
Bikini panties one size too small helps keep the unwanted out of the way.

I guess I'm lucky.  I just wear a pair of Cupid light control panties that are 2 for $7 at Walmart and everything fits and it's very comfortable and no bulge at all.
So I'm always wearing leggings. But before HRT tho I couldn't fit the jingle bells in my panties and that was very disconcerting.  Since HRT everything has gotten smaller and the jingles bells have practically shrunk down to nothing.

I found that I couldn't do it until a year in on T. I think they're designed to be too large to ascend after you hit a certain point in development. Fortunately the blockers take care of them eventually and they can fit up there better. It never seems ideal though because basically they stop once they're in the pubis, making that look extremely bulgy. Not to mention that it's a lot easier to get hit in your pubis than between your legs. It's a mess, I can't wait for bottom surgery.
Trying to take it one day at a time :)

My dysphoria was bad prior to surgery, pain of wearing a gaff subsided after wearing one part time then slowly made it to full time for three years. Most people this will be painful as the junk was never meant to be there but does get better over time.

tucking had always been painful (literally and metaphorically) as most of you know already. moreover, i honestly didn't know i was tucking the wrong way until i watched rupaul's drag race and those girls talked about moving things up into the abdominal cavity with TAPE. but my own way still worked for me all these years up until last year when i stopped completely. i have no idea how some of you can use tape. i mean, ouch!

and btw, what's a gaff? is that like a special super tight panty?
My life doesn't exist in this lifetime.
