Hello friends with functioning uteruses :)

I spoke to my doctor about getting wicked dysphoria around the time of my period, and he prescribed Micronor, as it is progesterone-only (no excess estrogen floating around my flooded system) and will cause me to skip periods completely with a bit of spotting.

He recommended I do some research of my own before I started taking it, but there aren't a whole lot of resources about the effect of birth control on dysphoria out there.

Is anyone else on this or something similar? What were your experiences with it?

My doctor recommended Depo Provera shots for folks who were having issues with periods. I remember reading on a ->-bleeped-<- thread that someone had been on Micronor pre-T and their doctor encouraged them to continue it for the first few months on T to help ease them into it. You could probably find that with Google and send them a message.
