That is an interesting question. When I had my surgery I knew two of the girls that were in the hospital and one I got to know pretty well. Because of my extended stay, I had a bunch of time where I was mobil where as the others only had about 3 days to get to know me.
While Mariah was in the hospital, there was one girl before her, one the same day and one after. One weekend, they where the only patients in the hospital and each had their own personality. One wasn't very outgoing. One was bored, the doctors staff made an open invitation so she visited Mariah. Mariah extended an open invitation but she returned to her room not to be seen again. The last one was friendly but unfortunately had a set back and was confined to bed. I got to know her traveling companion when we encountered each other in the hall.
I suggest you tell the doctors staff that you welcome visitors and you make the effort to go out and meet them. Some of us take a little bit of effort to pry out of our shell but I suspect if you make the effort, you will have something to do other than cruse the internet and watch videos.
