You can get progesterone from compounding pharmacies perhaps at a better price. Progestins that appear to be safe and are not androgenic include hydroxyprogesterone caproate (Proluton Depot) and dydrogesterone (Duphaston). To be discussed with your physician.

I take it continuously. I don't believe that cycles like that seen in women today (i.e. too many) are natural, they can result in mood disturbances and may possibly increase breast cancer risk. Not worthwhile in my opinion. Check with doctor.
Besides, when progesterone is taken orally, levels still fluctuate quite a bit.
