Hi ladies,
Off late I had started feeling this tingling pain in my left arm and a tad bit in my right arm. It started getting worse with time effecting my sleep. I would often wake up feeling numb in my arms (especiay the left one) and it also felt heavy. It was rather uncomfortable. I hadn't slept properly in all this time and it started getting to me. I started questioning whether I should continue HRT or not. I contacted my doc who asked me to take these tablets called Nervz B.
The very first dose brought me relief. The numbness/tightness wasn't there, it felt nice. I finally slept like a baby. I was honestly relived.

But right now at this very moment my left arm feels a bit tight.. Its a bit warm as well & its 5 in the morning and I am up in bed. :|

Considering your symptoms I would highly recommend going to the ER and getting checked out because that isn't normal. Also never stop medication without consulting the physicians that prescribed the medications. Hugs

I'm not a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn? ;D  I have had several heart attacks and what you describe sounds like Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is basically nerve pain without a cause. It was once thought to be a mental condition since they could not find a cause. The Nervz is a nerve pain reliever.

What you are describing could be anything from a pinched nerve to a heart attack to a "mini stroke." I concur with Mariah that you urgently need to seek medical treatments to rule out anything dangerous.

I had my ECG done and everything's good there.
I might have to check with a neurosurgeon & the doc would be available only after noon.
So I'm js waiting.

Are you by any chance, stressed? Sometimes, changes even positive ones can bring on stress or perhaps you are afraid of potential risks associated with HRT based on what you were told or read somewhere? The mind (i.e. thoughts) is very powerful and can strongly affect the rest of the body. Psychosomatic. For doctors to diagnose, not me but just saying...

Hoping you are on bio-identical E... Take care and always go see doctors first and foremost. ;)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

The comment said her doctor prescribed NERVZ which is a nerve pain control medication much like the Gabapentin my wife takes for the nerve endings in her stump. I would think if the Doctor thought she was having a heart attack they would have admitted her. Whenever I present symptoms of a heart attack I am always held for 24 hour observation. This has happened 3 times the last being in February when my heart had to be zapped to put it back in rhythm I have had two heart attacks and a stroke. The stroke symptoms had me making a constant left turn into the walls, eyes fluttering. On my two heart attacks I admit it was during the season when Kurt Warner took over for the Rams. But my other heart attack was while I was on a job interview. I had an insatiable thirst and chest pains and it was nearly impossible to catch my breath. I know arm pain is a symptom of heart problems. That is why I'm pretty sure Lara would have been admitted. She also said that her symptoms went away after taking the medication. Here are the symptoms of Fibromyalgia.
In addition to pain and fatigue, people who have fibromyalgia may experience a variety of other symptoms including:

cognitive and memory problems (sometimes referred to as "fibro fog")
sleep disturbances
morning stiffness
headaches
irritable bowel syndrome
painful menstrual periods
numbness or tingling of the extremities
restless legs syndrome
temperature sensitivity
sensitivity to loud noises or bright lights.

I would keep in contact with your Doctor if your arm pain is combined with excessive sweating, headache, difficulty breathing. Difficulty breathing is the main indicator. It is very scary when you are struggling for breath and you feel like you may not get another one. If you think you are having a heart attack immediately take an aspirin, it may be the difference in life or death as there is a limited window and the aspirin acts as a blood thinner.
Ask your doctor to confirm.

No one can possibly diagnose you on a message board. If it continues, go the ER or your primary care physician and get it checked out. Better safe than sorry....or worse.

I've had experience with minor nerve damage in my sports career. If it was a nerve it would be very specific in your arms so since you were cleared from a heart attack I would check a few things.

Where specifically is the tingling? You can hurt a nerve from sleeping wrong or hitting your funny bone. If it's painful or tingling from your wrist/arm up to your pinky and ring finger than you hurt the ulnar nerve. If it's in the thumb, index or middle then it is carpal (like drummers get)

If you are having trouble holding things it could be the radial or median

If you think it's nerve pain it's relatively easy to tell if it's simple. The test is basically tapping your fingers lightly (as if you were tapping impatiently on the counter) on your inner wrist and inner elbow. If tapping stimulates the tingling sensation then it's a nerve issue.

Depending on the nerve it can take days to months to regenerate and it all depends on when you start the physical therapy.

Notice how many IFs above? Even a knowledgeable doctor can sometimes only point the way. Don't stop asking though
