Hello everyone!

I've been thinking about this for a little while now, and I wanted to screen this as a possible idea to make this website more inclusive of transgender people worldwide.

One thing that I've noticed when I first registered here is that there tends to be a lot of focus on US transgender healthcare, and I can understand why this is. However, I think that this might be confusing for transgender people from different countries.

Healthcare tends to be different from country to country, and I was thinking if it would be a nice idea to start a guide that includes all of the basic transgender resources per country, so that people who've just come out as trans can look up where to go. This also includes the US, obviously.

I do read quite a few posts on this forum from people who feel confused or unsure of what to do with their possibly dysphoric feelings, so I'm thinking that a guide like this might be helpful.

My idea is to create a list of every country where transgender care applies, and list helpful resources such as local communities, the names of the hospitals that accept trans healthcare, and so on. Seeing as this is a big forum, I was thinking that this list can be updated from time to time, as more information becomes available and more people from different countries register.

What do you think? Could this be on to something helpful? Would you be interested in this?

Please share your thoughts! :)

I also think that the problem with that links-page is that it needs to be updated by an administrator (I presume). This will undoubtedly lead to the information becoming dated and the page becoming stale. Say for example: I have some new information to add about trans healthcare in Germany. How would I even go about doing this? Contact one of the administrators? How would he or she know that my information is legit? Seems like a bit of a faff to me. All in all, I think this would greatly benefit from being a community project.

You use the "Submit a link' button? We get new links all the time. Your presumptions are wrong.
