Male wanting to keep penis but add a vagina surgically

Hello all,

I am male and I actually like my penis. When I was younger I use to wonder how it would be to have a vagina, and I figured since technology has come so far along I don't see how it couldn't be possible. I'm now at a point where I would physically like to keep my penis but surgically add a vagina. I checked every where for info but can't seem to find any info. I'm not sure what surgeons would be good to ask or anything. If any one could help with into I would surely appreciate it.

Welcome to Susan's Place. What you are requesting is rather difficult because the the skin needed to construct a feminine  structure is obtained from the male structure. The most common surgery uses the penis to construct a vagina and the glans is used for the clitoris. Possibly grafts could be used but it would make the surgery far more difficult so you would have to find a highly skilled surgeon who would be willing to do this type of work. As far as I know the surgery isn't currently done by anybody as a routine surgery.

Actually can't really be done.. Apart from the aforementioned use of penile skin to create the vulva and vagina, the incision for the vaginal canal will cut through the "root" of the penis - most likely leaving it non-functional..

kelly_aus is correct you would lose the use of your penis and your urethra may have to be rerouted too.

This is one of those fantasy things I've heard people wish for over the years, but have never heard of actually being done. I can't imagine any real doctor trying such a thing. You penis extends for several inches inside you between your legs, right where a female's labial slit is located. You couldn't have an opening in there without damaging the penis irreparably, as Kelly indicated.

Actually, wishing for this was one of the later signs that I was trans before I realized it. I think I was subconsciously wanting to progress without burning my bridges. When I finally realized what I am, the desire went away. I don't mean to imply that this is true for you, just that no one should automatically assume that it's fetishistic.

It's interesting but not surprising seeing this phenomenon. This was something I fantasized about as a teenager. I had completely forgotten about that desire until seeing this thread.
