Hey ladies,

This is mostly for you pre-op SRS gals... this may be a little gross, but I'm wondering if any of you ladies use pantie liners as a moisture absorber for your tucked "junk"?

I was able to tuck for most of last night, but when I got home and I noticed things were a little moisture down there. I was wondering if pantie lines would help?

Thanks

Unless it's really wet, that's what the little patch of fabric is for on the panties themselves. Otherwise maxi-pad or similar works well. If you're wearing shorts or tighter thin material bottoms, the pad will also keep everything "smoothed out". It works to defeat the "battle of the bulge" so to speak...
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

I never needed to tuck before being post op, but I will say is they do a good job of absorbing moisture. One day recently I let go a tiny amount. Pad did its job and absorbed it. They designed to absorb moisture of any kind so yes they will work and deal with that issue for you. Hugs

So... I kinda feel like a teenage girl who just had her first period; I don't know what kind to get? There are so many options. Do I get wings or no wings? Do I get just the thin liners or a medium absorption pad?

One thing that I agree with some of my CIS girlfriends and even my mom on is don't bother with the wings. If it is going to move it is going to move anyways. In your case something thin will do. You won't need a maxi pad at this point. Thin liners are fine unless you have a lot of fluid. Hugs

Using panty liners makes me feel being part of the club. May be odd, but I have been using them every day since coming out. Still feels a bit odd to get shopping for them... I do agree liners are mostly all you need right now :-)

I used to use the TENA ones cause the Spiro would make my blader go crazy sometimes and it helped esp after drinking any thing, but I also used womens shape underwear if wearing jeans or long pants to keep my junk smooth and in one place all day before surgery......

Cheers Tracy
