Hello,

I have just scheduled a surgery date for May 2, 2008 for SRS and a tracheal shave with Dr. Suporn. So excited here I can hardly contain myself and had to tell someone. :) The next 6 months will go very fast specially with the holidays coming up.

I had originally chosen to go with Dr. Brassard for SRS however decided to change to Dr. Suporn after further research and discussing wtih some others who have recently had surgery with Dr. Suporn.

Would love to hear from others who are interested in Dr. Suporn as a surgeon, or have had experience with him in the past.

Cool congratulations.
My ex g/f, who wasn't my ex at the time had her SRS with suporn last year and I went with her. She is happy with the results and Suporns clinic was a good clinic right next to the hotel. If you have any questions feel free to ask me and I'll answer from my point of view as well as I may.

Hello,

It's now 100 days until my surgery date and time is flying by. My anticipation for the surgery with Dr. Suporn is growing. Surgery is currently scheduled for SRS, Tracheal shave, and Breast Augmentation.

There seems to be a lot of opinions out there as far as which surgeon to go with for SRS. I do appreciate all of the support and feedback! I'm still quite confident that Dr. Suporn is the best choice for me.

Most of the details worked out at this point, including a temporary 1yr US Passport (as Female), flight, hotel, and am working with HR at my company to schedule a medical leave of absence. Now just working on some of the small details like getting a pair of femme glasses to take with me so i won't be stuck with contacts, some luggage, few new skirts to pack. Hear sanitary wipes and some pads are also nice to take.

What are the general guidelines for trans women when getting BA? How long should one wait until having this done after having started hormones. I am considering canceling the BA during my visit there. I will have been on hormones 16 months at  the time of surgery. I hear it's best to wait longer (2-3 years) prior to having augmentation.

The one area of concern for me is being so far from home, alone for such a major surgery. The office staff there has a wonderful reputation and i'm confident that i will be well cared for. For those of you who have someone to travel with you, consider yourself very lucky. :)

Ann,
How did things go for you in Thailand with Dr. Suporn?? I'd love to hear all about it!

Is there a specific reason for not going with Brassard. He's a 30 minute bicycle ride
from where I live, so I'd prefer him or course unless they're something major
to not go with him.

No specific reason for not going with Brassard. IT was just a personal decision and felt Suporn's results were more what i was looking for. I'm in the US so traveling to CA or Thailand is still a long ways from home.
