I've been seeing a therapist and will soon be receiving my letter to give to a doctor to start testosterone.  Does anyone know of some trans friendly doctors in AZ?  I think I'd have to see an endocrinologist right?  The most important thing for me right now is to start T and get on the right track as soon as possible, I appreciate any help. :)

Welcome to Susan's Place. There are a couple of Endo's around the valley that you can find with google but you might consider Dr Toby Meltzer's office. There is a nurse practitioner who is able to prescribe and monitor hormones and she can connect you with medical help for regular health maintenance. Dr Meltzer's office has a web site where you can learn more. I have gone there for about a year after being off hormones for a while and have been carefully monitored.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

I live in AZ and I go to Meg Burgeson for hormones. You can find her if you look at Toby Meltzer's staff. She's really nice and very knowledgeable.

If you want to get a hands on approach, have someone that will really listen I would suggest Dr. Carolyn Fuller ND (naturopath ) http://www.carolynfullernd.com

When I started hormones about 8 months ago I also had tons of extremely complicated health issues. I started with Dr. Fuller, and we went slow but stable. She is quite conservative but excellent with working as a team with you.

Dr. Fuller runs on a sliding scale based on income. Her first appointment is an hour, with each subsequent appointment being 30 min. She also uses informed consent.

Let me know if you have any question

Hugs,
~Brooke~
