Quote from: Angélique LaCava on December 30, 2016, 11:52:23 PMI haven't had 1 pimples since starting hormones and today a pimple came up. Is that a bad sign? I looked online and it said pimples are caused by androgens and to my knowledge that's a bad thing. So should I be worried. I'm currently on estradiol, spironolactone, and progesterone.

Quote from: Dena on December 31, 2016, 12:13:33 AMWomen get pimples but not as many as men. Women have some testosterone in their system as it's part of chemical process that takes place in both genders and both gender acquire their sex drive from it. It can be a byproduct of progesterone breaking down but it's not something you should worry about unless you develop serious acne. If you do, see your doctor and make sure you practice proper skin care. Not cleaning the makeup off can contribute to skin problems.
