I wanted to go for my revision, because there were a couple of issues I was unhappy with after my initial SRS with Dr. Chettawut.
1) Urination was an issue because I always peed in between the toilet seat and the toilet bowl leaving a mess - more than embarrassing, to say the least.
2) My right labia majora was hanging down like a small elephant's ear.
3) My clitoris was too big.
4) The urethral tissue that was used to line the vaginal vestibule was over sensitive and showed as a flaming red patch which I wanted to be gone or at least reduced.
5) I had a small stump of the bulbouus muscle left on my right-hand side. I wanted that gone because it felt like erecting tissue and I could tense the muscle to make it appear stronger and that I wanted gone.
For that reason I had consultations with Dr. Chettawut first. He was willing to correct the labia majora - everything else he didn't want to do.
I also consulted Dr. Sutin from PAI, who was also willing to reduce the labia majora, none of the other issues.
Dr. Sanguan was willing to perform all of my issues. Upon asking him, if a loss of sensation was possible, he said no.
My first mistake here was, not to double check with Dr. Chettawut on the sensation issue.
Dr. Sanguan also wanted to do a liposuction to make the labia majora on the right appear fuller.
The way he draped my vulva tissue during the consultation made me decide I wanted to go with him. He took all the time necessary to answer all questions I had at that time and always gave detailed answers whenever I asked for some.
Dr. Kaushik and his sigma-lead corrective SRS unfortunately was unknown to me at that time.
So I came to Phuket on July 7th for my revision surgery.
Dr. Sanguan discussed all points with me again to make sure we were on the same page.
I got a wonderful room at the new PPSI clinic in Phuket, more of a hotel room than a patient room really.
The staff was simply wonderful. I am a vegan and so my diet is gluten free and free from any animal products. I eat quinoa a lot and brought some just in case. The hospital kitchen was not prepared for my vegan diet and preparing my quinoa seemed to be an issue for them. Then one staff member bought me a small rice cooker so I could make my quinoa in my room and order some tofu curry or salad from the kitchen to go with with that.
After surgery the staff care was great, pain was minimal.
After 2 days the dressing came off and Dr. Sanguan checked for sensation on my clit.
He left a small red patch of urethral tissue to prevent urethral constriction, but now it was way more acceptable than before.
On my last post-op check Dr. Sanguan was in Bangkok and he asked Dr. Rushapool to do the final check befor my return to Germany. Dr. Rushapool asked me if it was ok to have Dr. Sanguan take a look at my result via smartphone. I agreed and Dr. Sanguan took a time out from a surgery to take a look at the result personally, which I found to be really caring.
After surgery the overall sensation in my clit area changed quite a bit though. I can feel the touch when it happens, but erotic sensations seem to be simply gone.
More than 3 months after revision I was still not able to get near a climax.
I wrote the first of numerous emails - 6 in total - to Dr. Sanguan, asking for his advice and also asking him if it might be possible, that sensation got lost or that nerves got damaged during surgery.
Up to this day I have not received a response.
The situation hasn't changed - I haven't climaxed up to this day - it seems I can't reach the areas anymore that were responsible for the erotic sensations.
I wrote an email to Dr. Chettawut who stated that a clitoris reduction will make for loss of sensation - the contrary to what Dr. Sanguan had said.
Up to this point I can confirm that Dr. Chettawut's statement is correct.
I am especially disappointed by Dr. Sanguan's behaviour not to respond at all, now that there is an issue that I want resolved one way or another - and the help of the surgeon is needed more than ever.
Meanwhile I learned about the sigma-lead surgery that Dr. Kaushik offers in Delhi, India.
Since dilation has become more and more of a dreadful and constantly more painful chore, I will go for Dr. Kaushik's corrective sigma-lead surgery. During my consultation with him he also took a very close look at my vagina, confirming that my dilation had to be painful, since my graft had ruptures and scars in various places - and in the rupture areas I was dilating on raw flesh.
Also the constant yellowish discharge I experience in intervalls got resolved. The sweat and sebacceous glands from my vaginal skin graft are still doing their job (which they always do in every skin graft), which is to secret what they are supposed to do. This leading up to unpleasant smelling yellowish discharge in small quantities constantly and larger discharge quantities in irregular intervalls.
He also said he will see if there is anything that can be done to restore my clit sensation.
So I will have have my corrective SRS with Dr. Kaushik in the first week of February and finally have my issues being taken care of.
Overall my revision with Dr. Sanguan has been a very mixed experience.
After having a great consultation and wonderful stay at the hospital things changed a few weeks after that. The thing I found to be inexcusable is that Dr. Sanguan stopped communicating after an issue arose, that wanted help and qualified support and a solution. A number of my issues that got addressed turned out ok, one didn't turn out well at all.
Needless to say a revision that ends up in loosing sensation is nothing that anybody wants.
I can't understand why Dr. Sanguan behaves that way, especially after the initial meetings, where he was so caring and open.
