I've been trying to find a place to bank, but everything I'm finding is way too expensive because I'm in college and am really poor. Anyone have a good idea?

Maybe I could put it in the freezer and hope for the best? I'll just fill up an ice cube tray or something.

I used the California Sperm Bank in Berkeley California.  Its all going to be fairly expensive.  They were by far the most accomodating sperm bank that I spoke to.

I started this thread a while back when I had the same question: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,16551.msg154102.html#msg154102

I ended up going with Pacific Reproductive. Sperm Bank of California in Berkeley said they weren't taking any more new clients this year. But no matter where you go, it's not cheap.

If you don't want to look at the old thread, these are the 3 places I found in the SF Bay Area:

The Sperm Bank of California in Berkeley

California Cryo in Palo Alto

Pacific Reproductive Services in San Francisco

The Sperm Bank of California in Berkeley is the one I went to.  I called quite a few sperm banks and most asked me why i was banking sperm.  Every single one did in the area that I live in.   They were/are very discriminatory in general at least the ones I called.  The one in Berkeley was ok with what I was doing and did not refuse my sperm banking request.

Thanks for your help! Looks like I'll have to find some way to get some money for this. The more and more I think about it, the more I'd like to have a biological child some day.
