Hey all, so away from my post from before i am sobered up and feeling normal again :), back to the same problems i had before xD!!

Jokes aside, i have been wondering what name would be best for me. I have decided in the summer of 2015 my name would be Ashley (when i was still living full time) That comes naturally to me as it is only three letters diffrence at the end of my name from my birth name. That and the fact had i been born a girl (as even when i have strong doubts the feeling of should have been AFAB never changes) my name would have been Ashley :)!

Coming up there are a whole list of names i chose and would like to use when i go full time girl again. Of course i will need to be ready to go full time (need a better job or get cross trained, need to work on the other issues i got, ect) i still think about a few things like middle names i could think about

I have recently been thinking about, if i go full time again what would my middle name should be. I am tied at these:
Ashley Rachel, Ashley Paige, Ashley Marie and Ashley Nicole. In all honesty i have been leaning to Nicole latley as i think it is a lovely name, but the draw back is i know WAAAY too many Nicole's in my life. I am open too all of the listed ones but am still pondering. Need help, whats a good one?

By just the sound of it, I like Ashley Nicole the best.  I will ask, how important is a middle name really?  How often do you use it?  So the fact that you know other Nicole's might not be that big a deal?

That said, I've seen a number of different ways to pick your chosen name. Some use the tradition of choosing the name of a family member that meant a lot to them, some look into the etymology of names and find one with a special meaning, others simply pick a name because they like how it sounds or always just "felt" like that should be their name.

The one constant I've heard is that often times TG's will go through multiple names before settling on a "final" choice.  Many will take some time to test drive the name and see if it fits them.  If it doesn't they change.  That's a uniquely empowering opportunity that most cis people don't feel they have.  So enjoy it.
