Hello, I started T on December 19th 2016 i believe it's been 3 or 4 weeks i don't keep track very good but it hasn't been very long. My voice is already slightly deeper enough so people can tell the change and that's been awesome.
I've noticed the fat around my arms below my hands have actually increased and i was just wondering if that may be the HRT i do have paranoia about medical things sometimes but i know this has changed without a doubt i just don't want to jump to horrible thoughts if it could just be effects from T nobody ever really told me about that in general so i don't actually know for sure, silly question i know.

Excess testosterone converting to estrogen which causes body tissues to store more water than usual. Makes you look heavy on the scales or in some cases actually look like you gained weight or seem puffed up. But you can tell when it's not fat as the area feels softer and literally more watery or flabby than it would if it were just body fat.

Par for the course when using T for most people

Just get lab work done at regular intervals, and make sure they're testing both T and E levels. It's very common. You can still masculinize even if it's converting.

Must be water retention indeed.
The cause of this could be the testosterone. Many guys have a phase where water retention occurs for a few months. This tends to happen after a few months to half a year in. You're a bit early, but it is possible.
Water retention can also happen due to other medical reasons, mainly related to the heart and blood pressure. This is unlikely in your case, but you did just start testosterone, which can cause issues with blood pressure. The best course of action is to have it checked out, especially if it gets worse.
